Our Approach.

Just like the the twisting stems of the beanstalk on our logo we believe that there are many elements that weave together to make an outstanding children’s home.

Passion to deliver the best possible care to the children and young people you look after.

Knowledge to ensure that the service you provide is compliant with all the regulations.

Drive to constantly achieve more and seek out new ways to deliver better care.

Commitment to the children and young people who are being cared for as well as for the staff that look after them.

Plant It

Before a seed is even planted there is lots of work to do in preparing the ground to ensure that the young plant survives.

This is a wonderful analogy for the amount of work that needs to be done if you are considering setting up a children’s home or taking over and existing home.

We believe a full analysis of the potential business or existing business is essential. This would include looking closely at the location, finances, planning implications, demand for service in the area, school availability, staffing and if it was a current provision what are the strengths and weaknesses of the existing home.

We can provide a range of services to help you through this crucial assessment - from focused meetings that set you on the right track to completing a full analysis on your behalf and anything in between.

Feed it

Adding the correct nutrients, soil and ensuring the physical environment is just right will give you a strong and healthy plant.

In the same way the physical environment of the home must be compliant with regulations but also provide an accessible homely environment for the young people to live in - not always as easy as it sounds!

We believe that having the correct staff is by far the most important aspect of a children’s home and training and nurturing their development is key to providing outstanding care for the children and young people. In addition, this continuing professional development and respect of staff is an example of top-down role modelling that is worth its weight in gold.

We can support in everything from recruiting quality staff to designing bespoke training packages for your staff and providing 1:1 coaching and mentoring for individuals.

We help you spot emerging talent within your own workforce so that you can evidence your succession planning and through this can help shape the future of the sector

Grow it

And finally when you think you have got it right …….

There are new staff to train and new legislation to implement new guidance on best practice and of course more children with different needs….

So our role is to keep you at the top by ensuring that your team are on top of what needs to happen locally and have the headspace to do their own research into what works for the children they care for, and to develop areas of their profession that inspire and excite them.
